Painted Our Exterior!

Since the first moment we ever looked at this house about 5 months prior to us actually making a bid to moving in we knew we would paint it. The front is 1980's pink-ish brick. Not red. I love a good, rich red brick home but this wasn't that. At all. Fast forward 9 months later and we finally got to hire our good friend and painting buddy, Brandon with 'Chainbreaker Painting'. He and his wife are awesome! If you're local to us definitely check them out! They were very professional and did such a great job! We were highly recommended by them to use Behr Premium Plus Exterior in whatever shade we wanted. The quality of the finish is amazing and even with a pressure washer used at the hardest setting will not damage your brand new paint job! Having a newly painted WHITE house that will definitely need a simple washing every spring, this is highly important! I don't want to be doing lots of touch ups every year once when Spring cleaning begins.

As you can see between the time we moved in until the time painting began we did a lot of demo. The back of the house especially! Most of the exterior deck lighting needed to be removed and was no longer working. We also removed all the privacy lattice. It was all in such bad shape plus it housed all kinds of critters and insects that we didn't care for especially with kids running around. Honestly, it just didn't make any sense to me as to why it was even there to begin with. It closed off the entertaining area so much and the walkway behind it was very tight. We love how open it is now! We also added new posts that we plan to wrap and stain next spring when we replace all the decking. I cannot wait for that! Now we are super excited to start our landscaping project & restructure the front entrance. Excited to share those plans with y'all soon!!

Paint Colors:

Main Exterior: Behr color matched to BM 'White Moderne'

Trim: Behr 'Ultra Pure White'

All Exterior Doors & Deck ceilings: Sherwin Williams 'North Star'

(to match my already painted front door)
